Mix-a, Mix-a, Mix-a...

The other day, Tammy’s back was really tight from a stressful day. Just before bedtime she asked me to give her a good, deep back massage to loosen up her muscles. The best place for this is the floor right now (the bed is too soft for a deep massage). Johann was playing with some of his animals, but as I started giving Tammy a massage he wanted to join in and help.

I worked on her lower back while he massaged her head and shoulders. Then he dissappeared for a few moments and returned with a load after load of his building blocks to help her feel better by sharing some of his favorite toys.

He pulled out one of the long cylinder blocks and started using it to massage Tammy’s legs, rolling it up and down her legs. Then he remembered rolling out the cookie dough and started singing:

Mix-a, Mix-a, Mix-a
and pour-a, pour-a, pour-a
and roll-a, roll-a, roll-a
and bake-a, bake-a, bake our Mommy!

The song is an adaptation of a Blue’s Clue’s song with the addition being the line “roll-a, roll-a, roll-a” and of course in the original song “our Mommy” was “our cake”.

Of course we all lost it…
