Going Underground

I am sorry to have to say that this site, as it currently is, will no longer be maintained. It is a very hard decision to make. I know how much friends and extended family have enjoyed being able to see glimpses of our life in Mystic and especially Johann. Unfortunately, recent events involving Tammy’s family have convinced me that this site could be misused by some.

After a great deal of consideration and after receiving a disturbingly threatening letter from one of her close family members, Tammy and I have decided that this site will be closed and all entries removed. That goes for the Gallery as well. Eclectic Echoes will become much more focused and will contain little or no mention of my wife and son. However this site will return in a different location and with strict access controls in place.

No search engine access, no free exchange of information, no helping other parents who seek similar toys, shows, experiences. It really pains me to do this as I have received a large number of emails from other parents thanking me for pointing them to games, orchards, shows, etc. Unfortunately I can see no way to update our friends and remaining family openly, without also opening ourselves to potential abuse.

In three days this site will go mostly unmaintained. This entry, as an explanation and apology to search engine visitors, will be all that remains. By the end of the year I hope to have the site ported to a new location with all the old entries intact. At that time I will update any friends and family who desire to have access with the address and how to get in to the site. If you are concerned I may not remember or are a visitor who wants to continue to have access, please do not hesitate to email me ( spammagnet@heupel.com ) with your real name, website or phone number (purely for verification) and email address. I truly wish there was another way.

Re: PHOTO

I really like your photo of the tugboat in the snow. I thought it would make a nice Christmas Card. Do you have that image at a high resolution, and if so would you be willing to send it to me?
